Short Summary:

Witness statement: "On the evening of March 5, 1990, I visited Mrs. ... in Vasbeck. She drew my attention to something strange she had discovered during a walk. From her property, we saw something very bright behind a hill, which blinked brightly at irregular intervals, disappeared briefly, and then blinked again, mostly brightly like a very large star. Occasionally, it also blinked orange, blue, or green, but mostly brightly. To investigate this more closely, we drove my car closer to it, to a crossroads far out in the fields. Here we realized that the object was suspended high in the air. We couldn't logically explain this. The object remained in this position all evening, perhaps with slight changes in direction to the right. We tried to get closer via another village, but this was impossible. So we drove back to the crossroads. The object continued to blink unchanged. It couldn't be a star, as it was much, much larger, about 5-6 times larger, but still shaped like a star." It lacked clear contours and glittered and flickered. Unfortunately, I then had to drive to Korbach, but my girlfriend was able to observe it for longer from her house.

The case file contains water damage.
